After School Activities

About

De Chantal’s after school activities offer a range of fun learning opportunities.  Your child can participate in Band, Chess Club,  Scouts, French Club and Ski & Snowboarding Club. Our after school programs are safe, structured activities that convene regularly in the hours after school and offer activities to help children learn new skills, and develop into responsible adults

Altar Serving

Altar serving is a time-honored volunteer opportunity for Catholic students in Grades 5-8 to give back to their parish and to serve God. Altar servers are present at all the parish Masses, weekdays and weekends, weddings and funerals. They assist the priest during Stations of the Cross and other special liturgies related to the holy days. The St. Jane de Chantal Parish offers training each fall and is open to all elementary students 5th grade and above, including high school students. Training consists of two or three sessions with a written test at the end of the final session.  New servers receive additional on-the-job training from experienced servers during their first few Masses. For more information, please contact the Parish Office at (301) 530-1440.
