At a Glance

St. Jane de Chantal is a Catholic, Coeducational Elementary School.

De Chantal has been educating children in suburban Maryland for over 70 years.  We have two classrooms per grade and average 20 students in each classroom.  In recognition of academic excellence, The US Department of Education has twice named De Chantal a Blue Ribbon School.

The dynamic faculty utilize Archdiocese of Washington Academic Standards to create a traditional, challenging curriculum offering all students a solid foundation in religion, mathematics, language arts, science, history, social studies, and the creative arts.

Our school day begins at 8:15 am and concludes at 3:00 pm. Our  “Extended School Day” program offers parents the ability to bring children to school as early as 7:00 am and children are able to stay after school in the afternoon until 6:00 pm.
