At a Glance

St. Jane de Chantal is a Catholic, Coeducational Elementary School.

De Chantal has been educating children in suburban Maryland for over 70 years.  We have two classrooms per grade and average 20 students in each classroom.  In recognition of academic excellence, The US Department of Education has twice named De Chantal a Blue Ribbon School.

Standards

The dynamic faculty utilize Archdiocese of Washington Academic Standards to create a traditional, challenging curriculum offering all students a solid foundation in religion, mathematics, language arts, science, history, social studies, and the creative arts.

Schedule

Our school day begins at 8:15 am and concludes at 3:00 pm. Our  “Extended School Day” program offers parents the ability to bring children to school as early as 7:00 am and children are able to stay after school in the afternoon until 6:00 pm.

After School Activities 

A variety of  activities are offered in Athletics, Foreign Language and Fine Arts.

Cultural Exchange Opportunities

St. Jane de Chantal is a partner school with St. Denis International School, Loches France offering cultural exchange opportunities for students in grades 7 and 8.
