Kindergarten is a place where children can explore new things about their faith and the world! Read below to see what we will learn each week.
Our Week at a Glance
Religion: We will attend Mass with 8th grade we will be finishing our Virtus lessons on safety and boundaries when around strangers and friends. We will learn ways to say no when we feel hurt or uncomfortable.
Reading: This week we will continue to learn about our Superpet Doc. Doc loves to create new science inventions. We will learn to write upper and lowercase Dd, identify the sound of D at the beginning of words.
Math: This week we will continue with chapter 3 on Positions. We will use our position bear to use words to describe where it is.
Language Arts: This week we focus on writing our names with D'Nealian letters. We practice holding the pencil correctly and coloring in the lines using fine motor control. We will take a break from learning how to write colors and instead learn about the word see.
Science/ Social Studies: This week we will spend time talking about the Halloween. We will create witches, ghosts and talk about pumpkins. We will also read the book Where the Wild Things and create our own Wild Thing using a technique called thatching.
