Kindergarten is a place where children can explore new things about their faith and the world! Read below to see what we will learn each week.
Our Week at a Glance
Religion: We will discuss about Palm Sunday and Easter. We will do a Jelly Bean Prayer and Resurrection Eggs. We will see the 8th grade perform the Living Stations of the Cross on Tuesday.
Reading: We will learn about syllables. We will sort words that have 1, 2 or 3 syllables by clapping. We will listen to a story called Too Many Carrots and map the events of the story.
Math: We will begin a new Chapter in Math. Our focus will be on time such as sequences, calendar, days of the week, seasons and clocks.
Language Arts: We will continue writing words and letters using our with D'Nealian handwriting. We will practice using our whiteboards to form our letters and words. We will review the red word like by completing sentences such as I like, you like and we like. We will break out into 4 groups to strengthen reading skills.
Science/ Social Studies: We will do fun Easter crafts and experiments!
