Welcome to Homeroom 13!
Your child is making the adjustment into middle school and I am right there with them. I will need a few weeks to adjust, so I will allow them the same. We will navigate the changes together! Each child was given a copy of their schedule during homeroom Tuesday morning. With many more teachers this year, there will be many more requirements and routines. Make sure your child stays organized the first few weeks and does not allow themselves to become overwhelmed. This week there will be a lot sent home. Please make sure to get hot lunch and milk order forms in asap. Do not forget the $5 for the homework assignment pads.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns please write a note or email me. I am not always great at getting messages on the telephone! I will respond within 24 hours to any emails. I am really looking forward to this year. I have the luxury of going into the year knowing most of the personalities (and as you know there is a LOT of personality in this class). There are so many fun activities throughout the sixth grade year. Volunteer for lunch angel, room parent, or any field trip you can. It is a great way to see your child with their peers and make homeroom 13 run a little smoother. Ms. Julie Shea |
