Dear Parents of Room 12,

I hope you all enjoyed our snow day on Wednesday. It looks as if we are going to have a few more before the winter is over. It is all very exciting for your children and a nice change of routine for every one.

We will be starting our "Beauty and the Beast" fund raiser next week by sending out candy grams for Valentines Day. Each candy gram is .50- 2 for $1. Your child addresses the candy gram and writes a message. The children love both sending and receiving them. We used the candy grams last year for our main fund raiser and it was a great success. Thank you so much for sending in your 2 bags of Tootsie Roll Pops or Jolly Rancher lollipops.

I want to thank you all for the many cards and gifts I received on "Teachers Appreciation" day. The children each made a card for me and wrote a nice note. I enjoyed them all so much and I will treasure them always. I also received a note saying that I could select a dinner from the THYME OUT menu as a treat from room 12 students and parents. Thank you so much. It is such a treat not to have to cook, so I really appreciate your thoughtful gift. Thanks to Mrs. Hollenbeck and to Mr. Heintz for arranging the cards and meal treat.

We are working on unit 3 review in vocabulary. The vocabulary series seems to be harder for many of the students. The words are more challenging and require more study. Thank you for working at home with your child.

Our Valentines Day party will be on Friday, February 12th. Encourage your child to use the next few snowy days to work on their valentines. Thank you in advance to the moms and dads for sending in party goodies on the 12th.
